On 8th March midnight, till Bhor Ghat & Lonavala side on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, long lines of vehicles were seen.

As per further information, long queues of vehicles had formed on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway till Bhor Ghat & Lonavala. Due to heavy traffic jams, some vehicles broke down & stopped functioning.

No lane discipline is followed on this route at night time. Ambulance vehicles and some ministers’ vehicles were also stuck in this traffic jam. Due to this, to get out of the traffic jam, the minister’s vehicles were diverted in the opposite direction and taken through the old Pune Mumbai highway.

·         Bhor Ghat on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway had queues of vehicles up to 15 km.

·         Commuting by heavy vehicles at night caused huge traffic jams.

·         Traffic jam took place at 3:55 am on Friday (8th).

·         Many trucks and four wheelers got stuck due to breaking down.

·         No response on Bhor Ghat Kaksha Toll Free Number.

·         Many vehicles broke down due to broken clutch plates of cars.

·         Ambulances were stuck.

·         Heavy vehicles were speeding through all the three lanes through Bhor Ghat.

·         Negligence of highway police, alleged commuters
