Traffic diversion near Race Course from Sept 6 to Oct 31

The work for laying water pipeline has begun by Maharashtra Water Resources Regulatory Authority in Wanowrie area. Hence, the traffic has been diverted on this road on pilot basis, where in the stretch between Racecourse Gate (jogging ground) to Racecourse Main gate shall be closed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, (Pune City Traffic), Rahul Shrirame informed that the traffic shall remain diverted in the route till the work is completed. The traffic shall remain diverted from September 6, 2021 to October 31, 2021.

Road closure from :

1. Racecourse Gate (jogging ground to Racecourse Main gate) shall remain closed
2. Ghadyal (clock) chowk, Army Public School, Empress Garden naka to Racecourse Main gate via Camp / Pune city shall remain closed for all vehicles

Alternate route – Sopanbaug residents can use Bhairobanala road to reach Pune city / Camp area

3. Camp / Pune city to Racecourse main gate via Ghadyal chowk, Army Public school and Empress Naka shall remain closed for all vehicles.

Alternate route – 1 .Vehicles coming from Camp / Pune city should Use Khanya Maruti chowk to Mammadevi chowk to Bhairoba Nala to reach your destination

2. From Race Course Main gate take right turn towards Water tank, then take left towards Turf Club chowk via Bhairoba Nala chowk to reach your destination.
