Tragic Shivshahi Bus Accident In Gondia Claims 9 Lives, Many Injured
A devastating bus accident occurred today on the Kohmara State Highway in Gondia, resulting in the loss of 9 lives and leaving many others severely injured. The accident involved a Shivshahi bus of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC), which overturned while attempting to avoid a collision with a bike.
According to eyewitnesses, the bus was traveling from Nagpur to Gondia, carrying over 35 passengers, when a bike suddenly appeared on the turning road. In an effort to save the biker, the bus driver made a sharp turn, causing the high-speed bus to overturn.
The accident occurred between 12:00 and 12:30 PM, and passersby quickly alerted authorities. Ambulances and police arrived at the scene, and the injured passengers were rushed to the government hospital for treatment.
Police have begun investigating the matter to determine the exact cause of the accident. The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, and efforts are underway to remove the overturned bus with the help of a crane.
