Trainee IAS Officer Pooja Khedkar Debarred For Multiple Exam Attempts And Misrepresentation
Pune: Trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who recently lodged a harassment complaint against Pune Collector Suhas Diwase, is currently unreachable. Despite being summoned twice by Pune Police to record her statement, Khedkar has failed to appear at the Commissionerate. Police efforts to contact her have also been unsuccessful, raising suspicions that she might be evading arrest due to a separate fraud case filed against her by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in Delhi.
Khedkar had initially filed a harassment complaint with the Washim Police, alleging that Collector Suhas Diwase harassed her during her posting at the Pune Collector’s Office. Since the incident occurred in Pune, the Washim Police transferred the complaint to the Pune Police. Subsequently, Pune Police issued two summonses to Khedkar, both of which she ignored. Efforts to reach her through phone calls and WhatsApp messages have also failed, leading to speculation about her whereabouts.
Adding to her troubles, a fraud case has been registered against Khedkar in Delhi by the UPSC. She has been accused of mishandling documents, prompting the commission to issue a notice demanding an explanation and warning that her candidature might be canceled.
The situation has left Pune Police in a challenging position, as Khedkar’s unavailability complicates their investigation into the harassment complaint. The police force is now speculating that her inaccessibility may be an attempt to avoid arrest in light of the serious allegations against her in Delhi.
