New Bangkok DMK route makes Indira Gandhi International Airport the country’s first to offer 150 direct international connections

Dreaming of traveling abroad just got easier for Indian flyers. India’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi has become the nation’s only airport offering direct flights to 150 international destinations.

According to airport sources, Thai AirAsia X recently launched a new direct service from Delhi to Bangkok Don Mueang (DMK), marking the airport’s 150th international connection. This milestone positions IGI Airport as India’s premier gateway for seamless global travel.

Over the past few years, Delhi Airport has significantly expanded its international network, connecting passengers to major destinations such as Phnom Penh, Bali Denpasar, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Washington D.C., Chicago O’Hare, and Tokyo Haneda.

The addition of these direct routes demonstrates IGI Airport’s commitment to providing world-class connectivity while catering to the diverse travel needs of passengers. Frequent flyers can now reach numerous global destinations without multiple layovers.

Experts say the airport’s rapid network expansion not only strengthens India’s position in global aviation but also boosts convenience for both business and leisure travelers.

With continuous upgrades and route expansions, Delhi IGI Airport is set to remain India’s most connected international hub, offering unmatched travel flexibility to passengers across the globe.
