Unattended garbage near Karan Celesta, Balewadi irks residents

When Pune Pulse spoke to the Karan Celesta Society management team they said that they have been facing this issue for more than 5 years now.

Residents of Balewadi, mainly near Karan Celesta have been facing severe inconvenience due to lack of water supply, heaps of garbage, and lack of street lights. Residents complained that this is a chronic spot near Karan Celesta society. Despite raising the issue with the local municipal authorities, there has been no action yet. Garbage is thrown in front of the society which remains unattended by the PMC for several days.  

When Pune Pulse spoke to the Karan Celesta Society management team they said that they have been facing this issue for more than 5 years now. “The problem is solved when consistently followed-up, but there is no permanent solution to our problem,” said one of the members.

“We are trying to solve this issue but local garbage collectors are not working properly. We have conducted many meetings regarding this and have spread awareness among the residents too, many times,” informed Nitin Lokhande, health inspector of the area.
