Underground Power Line Project Launched in Bhosari to Resolve Electricity Issues
Pimpri, 18th September: The long-standing electricity issues in areas like Dighi, Chikhali, Jadhavwadi, and Sonawane Vasti in the Bhosari Assembly constituency are set to be resolved. MLA Mahesh Landge recently initiated the work of installing underground power lines and enhancing transformer capacity. This development will significantly reduce power supply interruptions in these regions.
In Sonawane Vasti, Chikhali, the capacity of the existing transformer is being upgraded from 315 kVA to 630 kVA. Additionally, work has begun to lay underground power lines in areas such as Ram Mandir, Gatha Colony, and Patil Nagar, which will further help reduce power outages.
A new feeder pillar is being installed for the Chikhali region, and new underground cables are being laid to replace old and worn-out ones in Sonawane Vasti. Underground power lines are also being installed in Shelar Vasti and near Ambedkar Bhavan. In Jadhavwadi’s Bolhai Mala, work has commenced to install a new transformer, ensuring a stable electricity supply to the area. In Dighi, areas like Sai Park and Mauli Nagar are also seeing the start of underground power line work.
Commenting on the project, MLA Mahesh Landge stated, “Many of the transformers in these areas had low capacities, which led to frequent power cuts. We have started installing transformers with higher capacity. Power lines that were previously above ground, posing a risk of accidents, are now being moved underground. This will ensure a more reliable power supply without interruptions.”
