Vedanta CHS celebrates foundation day with a noble cause

Vedanta CHS, Wakad houses 344 flats with approximately 1800 residents residing like a one big joint family. The society celebrated its annual mandir pratisthapna diwas (foundation day) with full pomp and show after 2 years due to COVID restrictions.

It was a welcome change for the residents as after a long time Vedanta pariwar got an opportunity to celebrate together in a big celebration. The day was auspicious being Chaturthi as well as Shivaji Maharaj’s Jayanti making things extra celebration.

The society is known for its contribution to the greater good of the larger society. Under it’s theme of GBTS (Giving Back to Society), the management committee organized blood donation camp where residents came forward in full support. The blood donation made thus, would benefit the blood requirement of about 80 needy people.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the society spoke about the contribution made by the great Maratha warrior king, Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The whole environment of the society turned heavenly as the senior citizens chanted beautiful bhajans and made the evening memorable.
Subsequent to the Bhajan Sandhya, Vedanta pariwar offered prayers as part of the MahaAarti. The residents prayed and wished that the pandemic goes away and everyone in the world around stay safe, healthy and happy. The evening concluded with distribution of Mahaprasad in form of bhandara.
The entire event was organized by Chairman, Somnath Dhonde, Secretary Saumajit Bandopadhyay, Treasurer, Vinayak Kadam, Arti Fabyani, Capt.(Retd.) Mayank Gupta and Kaustubh Pataskar, Seema Rudrawar, Vaishali Ghokhale, Shakuntala Bhatt, Madu Ghai with support of other committee members.
