Prem Chopra, one of Indian cinema’s most iconic actors, is best known for his memorable villainous roles. He began his acting journey in Punjabi cinema with the National Award-winning film Chaudhary Karnail Singh (1960) before entering Bollywood. His early recognition came with Shaheed (1965), but his fame soared with his suave negative roles in films such as Do Raaste (1969), Kati Patang (1970), Do Anjaane (1976), Dostana (1980), and Kranti (1981).

Over a career spanning six decades, Chopra has acted in more than 300 films and shared a notable on-screen partnership with Rajesh Khanna, appearing together in 19 hit films.

In recent years, the veteran actor has taken on more character and positive roles, continuing to make occasional appearances in films and television projects.
