A 35-year-old man from Wakad, Amar Dhoble was conned for a sizeable sum of money totaling Rs 7 lakh 87 thousand through a fraudulent scheme. Between April 23 and December 22, 2023, the victim, who had been promised a part-time job, became a victim of the scam.

As per further information from Pimpri Chinchwad Police, after the victim made a complaint to the Pimpri Chinchwad Police station in Wakad, a case was registered against the offender, who was identified by the WhatsApp number 8584008666. The owner of the website globlebtcdeal.com is also one of the accused. The complaint also names eight account holders from different banks.

The victim was approached by the accused via WhatsApp with the promise of a part-time job, according to the police investigation. The victim was then added to a group on Telegram. The fraudster progressively took out 7 lakh 87 thousand 400 rupees from the victim’s bank accounts in order to fulfill the purported tasks. The con was giving away the first tasks for free and then introducing paid tasks.

The victim suffered significant financial losses because the accused did not provide any work for him even after the funds were transferred. The victim’s complaint underscores the deceptive character of the arrangement, stressing that the accused failed to deliver the promised work or reimburse the money.

A case has been registered at Wakad Police station under Sections 406, 419, 420, 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & Sections 66 (C) (D) of the IT Act. Further investigation is going on.
