Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale Unite as BJP Panel Launches Grand Campaign Padayatra in Ward 25
Pimpri, Jan 9: The BJP panel from Ward 26, covering Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale, launched its election campaign with a ceremonial coconut offering at the Shri Mhatoba Maharaj Temple in Wakad Village. The padayatra blended faith, culture and development, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and change across the area.
The march saw spirited participation from women, youth, senior citizens, traders and local residents. The campaign was led by BJP candidates Shruti Ram Wakadkar, Rahul Kalate, Kunal Wavhalkar and Reshma Bhujbal. Throughout the walk, Shruti Wakadkar interacted directly with citizens to understand civic issues and feedback. The slogan “Development through Trust, Trust through Service” resonated among participants as the march proceeded with flower showers, slogans and traditional drums.

The route covered Mhatoba Temple, Datta Mandir Road, Utkarsh Chowk, Mauli Chowk, Wakad Police Station and Kala Khadak Road before concluding at Late Tanajibhau Tukaram Kalate Garden. Several prominent local figures and community members joined the event.

Shruti Wakadkar: A Grounded Leader with a Development Focus
Coming from a modest background with roots in community work, Shruti Wakadkar has consistently prioritized civic issues in Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale. Her focus on water supply, roads, health services, women’s safety, opportunities for youth and facilities for senior citizens has earned her a reputation as a candidate who listens, works and resolves.

Speaking during the march, she said,
“My commitment is to preserve the cultural identity of Wakad, Tathawade and Punawale while ensuring modern development and essential services reach every home. This journey is not just a campaign but a blend of tradition, values and progress. Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, we are determined to achieve structured development for Ward 26.”
