Water Issues : Rahatani – Pimple Saudagar residents raise water woes with Shekhar Singh
Lack of improvement of water supply in the Rahatani – Pimple Saudagar area has been a long-standing issue for the citizens. In a recent development, Vitthal aka Nana Kate, former local corporator, Pimple Saudagar – Rahatani has written a letter to the Commissioner and Administrator of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, Pimpri, Shekhar Singh to draw attention to the insufficient and low-pressure water supply in the area.
According to Kate, the municipal corporation has been supplying water to the area day by day, but it is not sufficient for the growing number of societies in the area. The citizens have to resort to private tankers, which is causing them financial hardship. Kate has highlighted that despite paying taxes of lakhs of rupees, the municipal corporation has failed to provide a regular and sufficient supply of water to the area.
Kate has also expressed his dissatisfaction with the evasive responses from the concerned department’s officers and employees. He has drawn attention to the construction of a water tank at Rajmata Jijau Udyan in Pimple Saudagar, which has been completed for a year but has not yet been commissioned to supply water to the societies in the area.
The citizens of the area are facing water scarcity, and the situation has worsened with the onset of summer. Kate has requested the Commissioner and Administrator to take immediate action to solve the water problem and issue necessary instructions to the concerned department to ensure a regular and sufficient water supply to the citizens of Rahatani Pimple Saudagar.
