After being hit by unseasonal weather, Maharashtra’s cold weather has once again made a strong comeback overcoming rain. Cold wave has now moved directly towards Maharashtra, resulting in severe cold in most parts of the state including Mumbai.

The weather has started getting cold in the state since Monday, and the temperature could remain below 10 degrees in Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.

Along with Madhya Maharashtra, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalgaon, Nashik are also recording a significant drop in temperature, and the same situation could continue for the next few days.

The cold weather has finally entered Mumbai as well, adding to the humid and rainy weather. Mumbai and nearby areas recorded a minimum temperature of less than 20 degrees. So, the maximum temperature has also dropped below 30 degrees. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the temperature may drop by two degrees on Wednesday.

After waiting for a few days in December and then in January, this change in the atmosphere is giving relief to many. Temperatures have dropped in most parts as cold northerly winds have moved towards the state. Meanwhile, a slight increase in temperature cannot be ruled out after this phase of wind moves forward.

While the amount of cold has increased here, dense fog will be seen in most parts of West Maharashtra including Satara, Sangli etc.
