The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted an extended monsoon season for Pune, with withdrawal likely only after October 15. This forecast indicates plenty of rain ahead for the city, bringing relief from the summer heat but also posing challenges for daily commuters. According to the IMD’s extended range forecast, Pune can expect above-normal rainfall in the coming days. The city’s residents should be prepared for intermittent showers throughout the day, with some areas potentially experiencing short-duration heavy rains.

The IMD has issued a special forecast for today, warning of tej barish (short-duration heavy rains) in some areas of Pune. Residents are advised to plan accordingly and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe and dry day.

The 10-day forecast suggests a mix of sunny and rainy conditions, with temperatures fluctuating between 71°F and 89°F. While the rains will bring respite from the heat, Pune’s residents should remain vigilant and prepared for any sudden changes in weather.
