Residents of Mumbai and Pune can expect a temporary relief from the heavy rainfall as meteorological predictions indicate a decrease in precipitation until the 11th of July. However, an active spell is anticipated to continue in parts of South Konkan, particularly Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, as well as the ghats of Pune, Satara, and Kolhapur.

Today’s weather pattern includes westerly winds from the Arabian Sea, a shear zone at 18°N, and an upper air cyclonic circulation in South Gujarat. Despite the current absence of any significant system in the Bay of Bengal, forecasts suggest the possibility of a new system forming around the 14th of July. This development is expected to reactivate the monsoon across the state, bringing back widespread rainfall.

Citizens are advised to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially in regions where the active spell continues.
