An 8,000 km journey across India to inspire and empower young leaders through enterprise.
Jagriti Yatra is an annual 15-day train journey organized by the non-profit Jagriti Sewa Sansthan, headquartered in Mumbai. Launched in 2008, the initiative aims to foster entrepreneurship and leadership among youth by exploring the challenges and opportunities in “Middle India,” which includes Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Over 7,500 participants from India and 23 other countries have been part of this transformative experience.
Key Features of Jagriti Yatra
• Immersive Journey: Participants travel 8,000 kilometers across India by train, halting at various cities and towns.
• Inspiring Role Models: Yatris meet successful entrepreneurs, change-makers, and leaders who have made a significant impact.
• Interactive Learning: The journey includes sessions, presentations, and discussions in AC Chair Cars and train compartments to encourage active learning and collaboration.
• Diverse Exposure: Participants experience India’s cultural and geographical diversity while gaining insights into local challenges and opportunities.
• Skill Development: Focused on fostering entrepreneurial skills, particularly in smaller cities, it encourages collaboration among participants from diverse communities.
