Elon Musk’s social media platform, X (previously known as Twitter), continues to experience a widespread service disruption across India due to a significant data centre issue reported earlier on Saturday.

According to data from Downdetector, over 2,000 users reported problems around 6 PM, highlighting the severity of the outage. Users are facing difficulties with essential functionalities such as logging in, browsing new posts, and accessing the app or website.

Breakdown of complaints shows that 33% are unable to log in, 47% are facing problems with the mobile app, and 20% are encountering issues on the web version. The platform is facing a more severe impact in the United States, with reports exceeding 26,000.

X’s engineering team earlier stated, “We’re still dealing with issues related to yesterday’s data centre outage. Some users may be unable to log in or sign up, and there could be delays in notifications and Premium features.”

Although the company has not yet provided a detailed explanation or timeline for a full recovery, rising concerns around data security and access to private messages have added to user frustration.

Stay tuned for further updates as the platform works to resolve the issue.
