TV actor Mohsin Khan, best known for his role as ‘Kartik’ in “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai,” recently revealed that he suffered a mild heart attack, which led to his hospitalization for several days. This health scare, along with a diagnosis of fatty liver, has kept him away from acting and the spotlight for the past two and a half years.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mohsin Khan shared that his initial plan to take a short break from his career extended due to his health issues. He admitted that he did not disclose his heart attack to many people, and the experience was severe enough that he had to change hospitals multiple times. He also noted that his fatty liver condition may have been exacerbated by irregular sleeping patterns.
Mohsin Khan gained immense popularity for his on-screen chemistry with actress Shivangi Joshi, who played Naira in the second generation of “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.” Their pairing as Kartik and Naira was a hit among viewers. During the show, Mohsin and Shivangi reportedly grew close and fell in love, though they later broke up, much to the shock of their fans.
