The quick commerce startup is consolidating its operations by centralizing its headquarters, offering relocation support to employees.

Zepto, the quick commerce startup that has seen substantial growth, is set to relocate its headquarters from Mumbai’s Powai to Bengaluru’s Sarjapur, according to a news report. This strategic move aims to centralize its corporate functions and streamline operations from a single location.

Currently, Zepto operates business functions in Mumbai while housing its tech and product teams in Bengaluru. With plans to consolidate its 1,700-1,800 employees into a new, larger facility in Bengaluru, the company is set to unify its workforce under one roof.

According to sources, all employees have been instructed to relocate to Bengaluru by the end of November or early December. The company will cover relocation expenses, with the move expected to cost approximately Rs 3 crore to Rs 4 crore. However, the relocation is anticipated to yield savings of around Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh in monthly rent, offsetting some of the initial costs.

Zepto is in the final stages of securing a property in either the Sarjapur, HSR, or Bellandur areas of Bengaluru. Out of its total workforce, approximately 1,000 employees are based in Mumbai, 400 in Bengaluru and about 300 are spread across other locations managing city operations. Reports indicate that around 90 percent of the Mumbai-based employees are already onboard with the move, with only a small percentage potentially remaining in Mumbai.
