Long standing demand of the residents and soldiers to be fulfilled soon

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has granted permission to hoist a 100 -feet-tall Indian flag at Rakshak Chowk in Pimple Nilakh (ward no-26) along the BRTS road. Soldiers and residents from Aundh military camp have been demanding to hoist a Indian Flag at Rakshak Chowk for a long time.

As, the Indian flag is a symbol of patriotism and dedication and Rakshak Chowk at Aundh has a big military camp base, this demand was raised by soldiers and citizens.The municipal administration has recently received a letter from the union ministry in this regard. After considering the said proposal and getting approval for it, union home ministry secretary prem Prakash has given permissson to hoist a hundred feet Indian flag permanently at Rakshak chowk.Municipal commissioner Shekhar Singh has worked to fulfil this demand. On behalf of the municipal administration, a proposal was sent to the lieutenant colonel of the military head quarter 330 infantry brigade.

A budget has been proposed for the same and the construction ancillary works have been included in the budget. Also, provision has been made in the budget and work orders have also been given.The Indian army and residents at Aundh Military camp are expressing satisfaction as the tricolor will soon be flying high at the Rakshak Chowk.
