Pune , 21st May : In a significant development, the Pune Police Crime Branch has arrested the owners of Cozie Pub in Mundhwa and Blak Pub in Marriott Suites for allowing a minor to enter the premises and serving alcohol, which ultimately led to a fatal accident in Kalyaninagar. This action follows the registration of two FIRs by the Crime Branch in connection with the tragic incident.

The investigation into the accident, which claimed the lives of Anish Awadhiya and Ashwini Kosta, is being led by Khadki Assistant Commissioner of Police, while Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has tasked the Crime Branch with investigating the second case.

Those arrested in connection with this case include Prahlad Bhutda, the owner of Cozie Hotel, along with manager Sachin Katkar, Blak’s manager Sandeep Sangle, and Jayesh Bonkar.

Additionally, Vishal Agarwal, the owner of Brahma Realty and Infrastructure, has also been arrested. The charges against them include violations of various sections of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act 2015.

The incident occurred around 3am on Sunday when a grey Porsche car struck two youngsters near Landmark Society on Kalyaninagar Airport Road, resulting in the tragic deaths. The Yerawada Police Station has registered a case under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicle Act, with the investigation being led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Aarti Bansode of the Khadki Division.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch is handling the case against Vishal Agarwal and Prahlad Bhutda, the owners of the establishments involved. Immediate action has been taken, with Bhutda, Katkar, Sangle, and Bonkar being arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with the incident.
