11 house break-ins in one night, Parmar Nagar residents in shock

The thefts took place in Parmar Nagar Phase 3 and also in the neighbouring society, Shraddha Regency.

Residents in Parmar Nagar area of Fathima Nagar are a frightened lot these days. An attempt at house break-in in their locality has shaken them up. Last week, thieves tried to break into 11 houses in the Parmar Nagar area of Fathima Nagar in Wanowrie and succeeded in a few. A case has been filed at the Wanowrie police station in this regard. Though there was no loss of valuables in the theft, it has left the residents disturbed.

Jyoti Deokar, a resident of the area, said, “We are all quite shocked with the recent burglary. Similar incident has taken place few years back. The incident is definitely a wake-up call for all.”

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Ajay Bhosale, police inspector of Wanowrie police station said, “The burglars attempted to break into 11 homes. They couldn’t succeed in breaking many homes while they didn’t find valuables in the rest of the homes. The CCTV cameras were not installed in a few buildings. There are various reasons for the incident. Our investigation team is on the lookout for the cause and the people involved in this incident.”

Another resident of the area added that CCTVs are not installed in any society within Parmar Nagar. They are of utmost importance to secure the lives of residents, the resident said. Further investigation in the case is being carried out by Wanowrie police station.
