Outcry over choked sewage line in Wanowrie
The residents have approached the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Wanawadi Ramtekdi ward office and local corporators but with little result.
A choked sewage line between Mogre vasti and Oxford Village Society in Wanowrie is making the area unsuitable for living.

“The sewage line is blocked. There is no way for the water to flow and so it is forcefully coming back making our garden area filthy. The area also has our society’s vermicomposting project which is also inaccessible as the area is filled with sewage,” complained a resident.
The residents have approached the Pune Municipal Corporation’s Wanawadi Ramtekdi ward office and local corporators but have been with little result.
The residents have been living with this problem for the last six months.
“We have been trying to convince the residents of Mogre vasti and Oxford Village Society to allow us to work and set things right but nothing is happening. We have visited the area many times. PMC needs the cooperation of the residents to work in a closed premises. We are also looking forward to resolving the issue at the earliest,” said Arati Patil, engineer, Wanawadi Ramtekdi ward office.
