Heavy vehicles banned from ABC Farms to Samvidhan chowk

The traffic congestion between ABC Farms chowk and Samvidhan chowk is about to end as the city traffic police has decided to ban entry of vehicles.

Pune City Traffic Commissioner Rahul Shrirame, on March 26, 2022 issued a notification stating ban on entry of heavy vehicles. The letter states that the heavy vehicles such as PMPML buses, water tankers and other heavy vehicles are banned from entering from ABC Farms to Samvidhan chowk.

The residents expressed satisfaction over the decision but also demanded action on the autorickshaws standing at the corner staying that these must be removed as well as the unauthorised stalls must be demolished permanently which will widen the ABC farms chowk.

No Entry from ABC Farms chowk to Samvidhan chowk

The vehicles can use alternate road – left from Samvidhan circle to SRPF arch, then turn right towards Salunke Vihar road then right to ABC Farms chowk to the destination.

Vehicles such as fire brigade, ambulance, police vehicles can ply on this road.
