15th Maharashtra State Inter University Research competition to be held between January 12 and 15

Pune: After a two-year gap due to covid, once again we can witness the excitement in all the university students.

The 15th Maharashtra State Inter University Research competition (Avishkar) will be held this year from January 12 to 15 at Savitribai Phule Pune University and it will be inaugurated by the hon’ble Governor and Chancellor of the University Bhagatsingh Koshyari through online mode on January 12.

This Inter-University Research competition is being organized from the academic year 2006-07. In this competition, students from many universities of Maharashtra state present their projects in six areas. The competition could not be held for the last two years due to Covid pandamic. But now again the students are ready for the competition with the same enthusiasm.

Savitribai Phule Pune University has got the honor of hosting this competition for the academic year 2022-23.

The inauguration will be held at Khashaba Jadhav Sports Complex, Savitribai Phule Pune University.

On this occasion, National centre for cell Science Director Prof. Dr. Mohan Vani, Revenue, Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil, Savitribai Phule Pune University Vice Chancellor Dr. Karbhari Kale, pro vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Sonwane, Registrar Dr. Prafulla Pawar, Director of Internal Quality Assurance cell Dr.Sanjay Dhole, and Chairman of Avishkar Committee Rajesh Pandey will be present.

In the two days program, Students will present their research projects through posters and presentations. Dr. Sanjay Dhole informed that the final result will be declared on 15th January. Director of IITM Prof. Dr. R. Krishnan will be present as the chief guest for the closing ceremony.

About the Competition :

1) The competition will be held after a gap of two years

2) 22 universities are participating from all over the state

3) Prizes from two thousand to one lakh twenty thousand and scholarships for one year

4) Participation of girls more than the boys this time.

5) Total 48 projects of Savitribai Phule Pune University in competition

6) Since 2006 till now there have been 14 competitions in which Savitribai Phule Pune University has won 9 times and runner up for the 4 times.

649 research projects will be presented
A total number of 649 students will present 649 research projects. Each student will present one project.
The projects will be presented in six categories namely Humanities and Languages, Science, Medicine and Pharmacy, Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Engineering and Technology.
