16 E-Shivai buses to run on Pune-Nashik route from Aug 12

Pune: Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will begin the functioning of 16 E-Shivai buses on Pune Nashik route from August 12 i.e. Saturday.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Kailas Patil, Deputy Manager, MSRTC Pune said, “These 16 E-Shivai buses have been inaugurated today i.e. August 11. They will start running on Pune Nashik route from Saturday, August 12. Out of these 16 buses, 8 buses will function from Pune Division while the other 8 buses will function from Nashik Division.”

Patil also informed that the frequency of E-Shivai buses will be every 1 hour and the first bus of the day will run from 6 am onwards. Initially, all the E-Shivai buses towards Nashik will depart from Shivajinagar Bus Stand. If required, as per demand, the buses will run from other bus stands too.

It is worth to note that five thousand e-buses will be taken from ST Corporation. Those e-buses will be operated in the state under the name ‘E-Shivai’. These e-buses will be provided to different departments in a phased manner. Accordingly, some departments have received e-buses and they have started e-bus services on some routes. First in the state, E-Shivai was started on the Pune-Nagar route in the Pune division. After that, E-Shivai is running on Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar route. Now, from August 12, these E-Shivai buses will travel towards Nashik.
