1974 citizens clean 11 Pune hills on World Environment Day
To increase the awareness among citizens about environment conservation, Pune Forest Division on the occasion of World Environment Day had organised Clean Hills Campaign across 11 reserve forest areas on June 4 and 5.
The drive was held between 7 am to 9 am at Hanuman Tekdi, Warje tekdi, Vetal Tekdi, Mhatoba tekdi, Ghoradeshwar tekdi, Hingane tekdi, Wanawadi, Mohamadwadi, Taljai, Bavdhan and Sinhagad fort.
A total of 1974 citizens participated among collected waste in over 554 bags. The concluding ceremony was attended by Member of Parliament Baramati constituency Supriya Sule at Warje’s Sanjeevan Van Udya (Sanjeevan Forest Garden).
