2 hr power cut by MSEDCL in Yerwada, Viman Nagar

Due to emergency repair work to be carried out by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) on Monday, April 11, there will be power cut in the early morning in Yerwada, Viman Nagar areas.
There are chances that the power supply in Vimannagar, Lohegoan area, Nagar road, Kalyani nagar and Yerawada area will be facing power cuts on Monday morning between 4 am to 6 am.
As per the official’s communication from MSEDCL, “There is an urgent repair work that needs to be carried out for 132 KV high voltage tower line from Kharadi to Theur for which the decision has been taken. The MSEDCL has assured that the work will be completed in a span of two hours and power will remain off in the morning time to avoid inconvenience to citizens in hot weather and daily routine work load.”
Confirming the information MSEDCL official said to Pune Pulse, “It is learned that the work of changing the jump of tower line between Kharadi to Theur is going on. For such work, Ultra High Pressure is required. As this work is on urgent basis it will be completed in the span of two hours on Monday early morning. Due to this technical work, power supply of 22 KV is required from the 19 power lines of MSEDCL coming from Kharadi substation will be cut off. 11 out of 19 lines will be supplied by MSEDCL to Magarpatta, Theur, VSNL are kept as an alternative measure for the ultra-high pressure as back-up. However, due to unavailability of load management, power supply to the remaining eight power lines will have to be cut off.”
Areas such as Gandhinagar, Yashwantnagar, Ganeshnagar, Jaiprakashnagar, Laxminagar, Bhatnagar, Subhashnagar, Navi Khadki, Yerawada, Ramnagar, Maharashtra Housing Society, PWD Colony, Tridalnagar, Nagpur Chawl, Sahyadri Vimanagar, Rohan Mithila Society, Sakorenagar, Rajivnagar North and South, Ganpati Mandir Chowk, Datta Mandir Chowk, Shrikrishna Hotel, Phoenix Chowk, Shriramnagar, Pareshnagar, Forest Park, Khulewadi, Khandvenagar, Airport Road, Ramwadi Gaothan, Chandannagar, Sangharsh Chowk, Pritnagar, Ashtavinayak Nagar, Padmayya Society , Boratevasti, Yashwantnagar, Tukaramnagar, Ganpati Housing Society, Shejwal Park, Sai Park, Vrindavan Colony, Mhada Colony will be facing power cut.
MSEDCL has appealed to citizens to co-operate for the necessary repair work. Consumers in the area are being notified via SMS on their registered mobile numbers.
