Police in Pimpri Chinchwad have charged a 32-year-old woman and her friend with assaulting and slapping the owner of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) after their vehicles collided. The incident happened on Monday night ( January 1) in Hinjewadi, and the woman’s friend threatened the owner of the SUV and his friend with severe consequences.

As per information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, the complainant Siddharth Nayar & his friends Viraj Pawar & Piyush Chavan were travelling in Viraj Pawarā€™s SUV car on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway. Near Tip Top International Hotel in Wakad, when a car in front of them abruptly stopped, the complainant suddenly applied brakes.

At that time, the accused woman, identified as Manisha Kudale, travelling with her friend & co-accused Yash Pawar, was behind the SUV in which the complainant & his friends were travelling. As the complainant had to stop his vehicle, unable to control her vehicle, the accusedā€™s car collided with the rear side of the complainantā€™s SUV.

The accused woman got out of her car and started verbally abusing the complainant and his friends as they were examining the damage to their car. She allegedly slapped the complainant’s friend as well. The co-accused Yash Pawar assaulted the complainant & threatened to kill all of them.

A case has been registered at Hinjewadi Police Station under Sections 279, 323, 34, 352, 427, 504, and 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) & relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act. Further investigation is going on.
