On Saturday around 4 pm, an incident occurred at a power station located between Shikrapur and Talegaon wherein a total of 209 MW of power supply was disrupted.

The lack of load management at the MSEDCL sub-stations resulted in electricity cut from 7.14 am to 8.45 am today.

As a consequence, certain areas of Pimpri Chinchwad city, including Kharadi, Chandannagar, some parts of Maval, and the Uruli Kanchan area, experienced power outages.

The implementation of the load trimming scheme (LTS) for load management was necessitated by a malfunction in Adani company’s ultra-high 400 KV power line. In order to compensate for the shortfall of approximately 209 MW, the power supply to several substations, including 132 KV Rahatni, 220 KV Chinchwad, 220 KV Theur, 132 KV Power, and 220 KV Power, had to be suspended.

Consequently, the power supply to MSEDCL sub-centres was also discontinued. Consequently, approximately 2,19,000 consumers in Pimpri, Chinchwad, Pimple Saudagar, Kalebasti, Thergaon, Wakad, Nigdi, Authority, Kivale, Kharadi, Chandannagar, some parts of Maval, Uruli Kanchan city, Kunjirwadi, Theur, Shindewadi Ashtapur, Hingangaon, Khamgaon Tech, Tilekarwadi, and others had to cease power supply for approximately ninety minutes in the morning.
