Bengaluru: A 28-year-old data scientist in Bengaluru, known for maintaining a disciplined lifestyle — eating healthy, exercising regularly, and avoiding smoking or drinking — was shocked to learn he had suffered a heart attack.
Despite having no family history of heart disease and a job he described as non-stressful, he began experiencing chest discomfort and sought medical attention. Doctors diagnosed a mild heart attack, which was later confirmed by a second hospital. Further tests revealed an alarming 80% blockage in one of his arteries, requiring immediate stent surgery.
The sudden diagnosis came as a major shock to the young man and his family. Some medical experts have speculated that in rare cases, such incidents could be linked to post-COVID-19 complications, including vaccine-related blood clots, though no conclusive evidence has been established in his case.
The techie now urges others to prioritize their health: “Start looking after yourself early, get regular check-ups, and pay attention to what your body is telling you.”
