‘6,000 INR bola?’: Husband Confronts Eve-Teaser for Harassing Russian Wife in Udaipur City Palace
Famous YouTuber ‘Mithilesh Backpacker’ shared that his Russian wife faced inappropriate remarks during their visit to Udaipur with their two-year-old son. Mithilesh recorded the moment when his wife was subjected to comments like “6,000 INR?” while they were at the City Palace.
Although a comment like “6,000” might seem harmless to many, it has acquired a negative connotation regarding Russian women, largely due to suggestive jokes made by comedians such as Harsh Gujral.
6,000 INR bola tu?
YouTuber Mithilesh was filming his wife, Lisa, when someone off-camera mentioned “6,000 INR”.
Mithilesh stopped recording his wife right away to confront the person who made the comment. He warned that he would involve the police, despite the harasser continuously denying that the remark was aimed at the Russian woman.
“6,000 INR kisko bolta, merko samajhta nahi kya? (Don’t I understand whom you are saying 6,000 to?)” the YouTuber asked. “Kikso bola? Meri wife Russian hai toh tu ulta seedha comment dega? (My wife is Russian so you will say these nonsensical things?)” he added.
In his YouTube video, Mithilesh shared that the footage was recorded during a visit to the City Palace in Udaipur with his family. He mentioned that a group of men had been trailing them and making inappropriate comments even before the remark about ‘6000’ that set him off.
He stated that when he called for palace security, they advised him against contacting the police.
The YouTuber expressed his frustration with the security situation for women in India and the mindset of some individuals. “I was extremely upset. I was there with my wife. How can people act this way? It was very shocking and embarrassing for me. My wife came to India… I wanted to showcase Indian tourism, highlighting how beautiful and safe India is. And then something like this happens, what should I do?” he questioned.
