India’s First Inclusive Festival, Purple Jallosh To Debut In Pimpri Chinchwad
Pimpri, 10 January 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Divyang Bhavan Foundation (DBF) is set to host Purple Jallosh, a landmark event that positions inclusion and accessibility at the forefront of urban governance. Organized by the PCMC Divyang Bhavan Foundation, this three-day festival will take place from January 17 to 19 2025, at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center in Chinchwad. It marks a pioneering step as India’s first large-scale inclusive festival led by an urban local body.
Purple Jallosh festival aims to break barriers, challenge stereotypes, and inspire systemic change by highlighting the talent, resilience, and innovation of divyang.
PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh, emphasizing the transformative vision behind the initiative, said, “Purple Jallosh is a celebration of human potential and a call to action for creating a truly inclusive society. It is our responsibility as a community to ensure that accessibility and opportunity are not privileges but rights.”
In November 2023, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) started the initiative Samarth by Hyundai, a movement to create a more accessible and inclusive society for Persons with Disabilities.

Assistive Tech Expo: Over 40 startups will present cutting-edge technologies designed to enhance independence and improve daily life for PwDs.
The Pitch Arena: A unique platform where startups can pitch innovative ideas to CSR leaders and investors, paving the way for impactful solutions. Cultural Performances and Inclusive Fashion Shows: Showcasing the artistic and creative brilliance of PwDs. Also the Local PwDs NGOs will showcase their Products , Services and Local Food.
Purple Solvathon: A challenge for young innovators to design real-world solutions for accessibility, fostering a culture of innovation and empathy. It Also serves as a window for unemployed PwD youths to register themselves for employment.
