7,000 vials of Amphotericin B injections handed over by Nitin Gadkari to Pune collector

Increase in Mucormycosis cases among patients suffering from Covid19 is on rise not just in Pune district but across the nation.

Ever since the cases of black fungus are being reported an important injection Amphotericin B being used to treat these patients is rarely available in the market.

Union minister for road transport Nitin Gadkari handed over 7,000 injections to Pune district Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh for Pune division. Gadkari provided 50,000 Amphotericin B injections from Genetic Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, a Wardha based company. As on today 5,000 Injections were made available, more 2000 injections would be made available within next few weeks.

The injections were handed over in presence of Dr Rajesh Deshmukh, Pune district Collector, Dr Sanjog Kadam, Dr Sanjay Deshmukh.
