Vehicle owners found using such lights will face fines as part of a stringent enforcement drive initiated by the Ahmedabad police.

The bluish-white hue of these aftermarket LED lights, while appearing brighter, can cause discomfort and glare for oncoming traffic, posing significant road safety risks. The Commissioner of Transport has received numerous complaints regarding these unauthorized lights, prompting stricter enforcement measures.

The crackdown extends beyond urban areas to national highways, where the presence of white LED headlights has contributed to accidents and distractions for drivers. Legal action will be taken against both vehicle owners and auto accessory shops found selling and installing unauthorized lights.
