MTDC resorts gear up to welcome travellers
As the state government relaxed the Covid19 restrictions from June 7, 2021 the Maharashtra State Tourism Development Corporation is gearing up to welcome guests in its properties located at scenic locations across Maharashtra.
With the restrictions being relaxed most of the travellers are looking forward to rejuvenate and the beautiful locations across Maharashtra are the most preferred ones by the travellers. Tourism industry was affected to a great extent due to the lockdown as most of the places remained shut for a long period.

But MTDC ensured that each it’s properties ensured that they were ready to adapt to the new health protocols and provide a relaxing yet comfortable stay.
MTDC managing director Ashutosh Salil (IAS) Maharashtra state under took several training workshops for the hotel staff in the last few months to brush up the protocols. Deputy Director Chandrashekhar Jaiswal was instrumental in holding these sessions. These training sessions were conducted by the MTDC run Maharashtra Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Solapur. These sessions included teaching on communication skills, Front Office Management, House Keeping, Food and Beverages, Attitude based Training and Pandamic Based Training.
It also included points such as how to keep the travellers happy, optimum services, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, sanitisation of rooms, Covid19 Health protocols, etc. This two week long session was attended by more than 500 employees.
Ever since the pandemic has hit, service industry has been severely affected but with the restrictions being relaxed the industry hopes to see happier days again. The locations are all set to welcome various initiatives such as weddings, pre and post wedding shoots, destination wedding.
