480 marshalls to take stern action against citizens flouting Covid19 protocols
Covid19 restrictions in the state have been relaxed. On the first day, on June 7,2021 the markets were seen crowded by people. Most of them were also seen flouting the Covid19 health protocols assigned by the civic administration.
To make people aware of the protocols and ensure that they are followed, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Rajesh Patil has shared that 160 teams have been informed wherein 480 marshalls will take stern action against those flouting the norms and also dining them.

People who are seen without masks shall be educated on wearing masks and also be given masks free of cost. Also, shops working beyond the prescribed time limits shall also be fined.
Also ten percent of the total amount from the fine collected shall be given as appreciation allowance to the marshals. This squad shall work between 7 am to 11 pm at city’s most crowded places such as markets, residential areas, vegetable markets, shopping areas, etc. Each ward office will have 20 teams.
