Pune: National Highway 753F Between Adarwadi and Dongarwadi Closed Until August 5 Due To Damage From Heavy Rain
Pune, August 2: Due to severe damage to one side of National Highway 753F in the ghat area of Adarwadi and Dongarwadi villages caused by heavy rain, the road has collapsed. To ensure the safety of citizens and prevent accidents, District Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase has ordered the closure of the road from today until August 5.
The road has suffered damage from heavy rain between Chainage No. 61/650 and 61/680 on National Highway 753F in the ghat area of Adarwadi and Dongarwadi villages. This area is part of the Tamhini Ghat forest region. Repair work is underway at the collapsed section, and safety measures are being implemented. However, due to the possibility of further heavy rain causing additional collapse and accidents, keeping the road open poses a risk. The order also notes that the closure is necessary considering the expected tourist traffic in the Tamhini Ghat area over the weekend.
