The police mentioned that Jagtap was supposed to provide an affidavit for the athletes he trained to be eligible for the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Award. However, Jagtap used a stamp paper worth Rs 100 in the name of the plaintiff’s son to create a fake certificate. By submitting these fraudulent documents to the government, he deceived both the complainant and the government.
