Pune News: PMC Removes BRTS Railings Near Viman Nagar, Easing Traffic Woes
The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) removed approximately 300 meters of BRTS railings from the Viman Nagar corner, offering significant relief to traffic in the area. This marks the second phase of action after the initial removal in December 2023. Despite years of efforts, the follow-up finally led to this development. The removal of the remaining railings up to Aaple Ghar is still awaited, as are the relocation of bus shelters that currently occupy road space unnecessarily.
Qaneez Sukhrani Convenor Association of Nagar Road Citizens Forum expressed that this progress came after years of relentless follow-up with PMC and police officials. This move is expected to improve road conditions and ease congestion for daily commuters in Viman Nagar.
