Pune News: Swiggy Delivery Agent Dies In Hit-and-Run, Audi Driver DetainedÂ
A tragic hit-and-run accident in Pune claimed the life of Rauf Akbar Sheikh, a Swiggy delivery agent, late on Thursday night. The incident occurred when an Audi car, driven by Ayush Pradeep Tayal, struck two motorcycles within minutes.
The first collision involved an Activa with three passengers, who sustained minor injuries. Moments later, the car rammed into Sheikh’s bike, causing severe injuries.

The accident took place at Tadi Gutta Chowk between 1:30 am and 1:35 am. Sheikh was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver fled the scene after the twin collisions, but police were able to identify and detain him through CCTV footage. The Audi involved in the accident has been seized, and Tayal, a 34-year-old resident of Hadapsar, is now in police custody.
He has been sent for medical examination only after the results are out it would be known whether he was under any influence.
