Investment of ₹2,000 crores to bolster industrial development in Pune region.

Bharat Forge, a prominent player in the Indian manufacturing sector, is poised to establish a mega site for Kalyani Technoforge on a 50-acre plot in Baramati. The ambitious project involves an investment of ₹2,000 crores and is expected to generate direct employment for 1,200 individuals.

The new facility will focus on a diverse range of operations, including aluminum forging, spare parts production, steel forging, assembly and sub-assembly processes, as well as gear manufacturing for electric and hybrid vehicles. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar confirmed the approval of land acquisition for the project, facilitated by Industry Minister Uday Samant.

However, Baramati is currently grappling with water supply challenges, receiving water only every other day. Despite this, Bharat Forge is committed to implementing twelve advanced and well-equipped projects across India, with a smaller facility already operational in Baramati.

Kalyani Technoforge, with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing, is recognized for its commitment to quality and timely deliveries. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has played a crucial role in facilitating the operationalization of this mega project, engaging in discussions with Amit Kalyani to ensure swift land allocation from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC).

The establishment of this mega site is expected to significantly enhance industrial development in Baramati and create substantial employment opportunities, particularly utilizing land returned by Sahyadri Agro. Bharat Forge, the flagship company of the Kalyani Group, has been a leader in manufacturing components for various industries, including automotive, aerospace, railways, marine and energy since its inception in 1961.

Additionally, Bharat Forge is committed to innovation through its Kalyani Centre for Manufacturing Innovation (KCMI), which acts as an incubator for new technologies, adopting advanced manufacturing practices to develop cutting-edge products.

This significant investment and development project underscore Bharat Forge’s dedication to strengthening the industrial landscape of Pune and contributing to the region’s economic growth.
