Last Chance for Voter Registration in Maharashtra: Know the deadline

With the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election schedule announced and the Model Code of Conduct in place, citizens have just two days left to register to vote. The final date for voter registration is this Saturday, October 19. Eligible voters who have not yet enrolled are urged to do so to ensure they can participate in the upcoming elections.

Pune District Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase has encouraged citizens to fill out Form 6 and register as voters to boost voter turnout. He emphasized the importance of casting a vote to support your preferred candidate and help them become an MLA.

According to the election timeline, the last day to file nomination papers is October 29. Voter registration is open up to 10 days before this, meaning the deadline is October 19.

To verify if their name is on the voter list, voters should visit the website [https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in](https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in). If your name is missing, Dr. Diwase advises that you must fill out Form 6 and submit it to the concerned officer before the deadline.

With just days remaining, citizens are urged to take swift action to ensure their eligibility to vote in the upcoming elections.

Steps are as follows to register: 

Download the form from Voter Service Portal

Step 1: Go to Voter Service Portal.

Step 2: Click on the sign up button on the top right of the page.

Step3: Create a password.

Step 4: Enter the same password again and confirm it.

Step 5: Click on Request OTP.

Step 6: Enter the OTP received on your mobile in the first column. After this, enter the OTP received in the email in the second option.

Step 7: Click on verify button.

Fill Form 6 and go back to the haike page.

Step 9: Login by clicking on the ‘Voter Service’ button and enter your registered email or mobile number.

Step 10: Enter the captcha. You will receive an OTP on your registered number. Enter the ОТР.

Step 11: Fill the Form 6 and the click on the Verify and Login button.

Step 12. Download the form and click on the Submit Form option.
