He mentioned in his post that he has been employed in northern Europe for more than five years and has an annual income of approximately ₹80 lakh.
“My salary is close to 80 lakh CTC. I have received an offer in Bangalore which is about 50 lakh CTC. I am considering accepting it because purchasing power is better in India and the market is bigger in India. My family members are advising against it because of the worse quality of life in India. What would be your advice?” says his post.
The post has gained immense popularity, attracting a flood of responses from users.
One user was so blunt, “If you don’t want job stability and are in dire need of toxic culture, for sure move to India. The labor laws in EU makes it very hard for companies to conduct layoffs. In India, they are laying off left, right, and center. Apart from family reasons, there’s literally no reason for you to move back to India.”
One comment seconded these thoughts, “50 lakh CTC will come with No job stability, Toxic managers who will dance above your head, Stupid Indian labour laws. Stick to the EU. QOL sucks. The roads & traffic sense of others will be same here even if u earn 1 crore.”
Yet another comment says, “Why do u want to go from fresh air biking to work to stuck in traffic for hours a day with a place that has strong language problems, purchasing power doesn’t mean shit u can save 10 times the money in Europe + drive better cars on top of that enjoy there man.”
The comments reveal our perceptions of the current situation in India, emphasizing significant issues such as rampant corruption, a declining quality of life, and various other pressing concerns facing the country.
