Pune, November 11, 2024 – The winter season is beginning to make its presence felt across Maharashtra, with a noticeable dip in temperatures in cities like Nashik, Pune, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not predicted any rainfall across the state, leaving conditions dry and allowing cool weather to prevail.

Mumbai and Konkan Region  

Mumbai’s skies are expected to remain clear, with a maximum temperature forecast of 35°C and a minimum of 22°C. Similar dry conditions are expected across the Konkan coast, ensuring warm days and slightly cooler evenings.

Pune

In Pune, the minimum temperature continues to drop daily, bringing crisp, cool weather for residents to enjoy. Today, on November 11, Pune’s maximum temperature is expected to reach 30°C, while the minimum could dip to 15°C, marking a substantial decrease in nighttime temperatures.

Marathwada (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar)
Marathwada is also experiencing a strong onset of winter. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar’s maximum temperature is forecast to be around 30°C, with a minimum of 14°C, according to the IMD. The region is likely to see an increase in the cold wave, bringing further relief from the day’s heat.

Vidarbha (Nagpur)
In Vidarbha, the weather will remain dry for the coming days, with Nagpur witnessing a gradual increase in the winter chill. Today, the maximum temperature in Nagpur is expected to reach 32°C, while the minimum may fall to 19°C.

North Maharashtra (Nashik)
Nashik’s skies will also remain clear today, with a maximum temperature of 31°C and a minimum of 14°C, marking one of the lowest minimum temperatures recorded in the state so far. Residents of Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar are set to experience the most significant drop in temperatures, with a noticeable winter chill that will likely persist.

Cooler Days Ahead  
As winter strengthens its grip across Maharashtra, Nashik and Pune residents are advised to prepare for colder evenings. In contrast, Mumbai remains warm and humid, with little change expected in the coming days.
