Pimpri, November 11, 2024 – Slogans like “Wake Up, Voters! Strengthen Democracy!” and “Voting is Our Right!” echoed throughout the Millennium and Elpro Malls and others across the city, as citizens actively participated in Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s voter awareness campaign. Many citizens took an oath to exercise their voting rights in the upcoming assembly elections, marking an inspiring day for the campaign.

Ahead of the 2024 state assembly elections, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation launched this voter awareness initiative in the Pimpri, Bhosari, and Chinchwad constituencies. With the goal of increasing voter turnout, the campaign is led by Commissioner Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner and SWEEP Nodal Officer Vijaykumar Khorate, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Anna Bodde. On Sunday, the campaign was promoted in various malls, where citizens pledged their commitment to voting.

Deputy Commissioner Anna Bodde, along with key civic leaders, addressed the public, emphasizing the importance of voter participation in democracy. A large crowd attended, including notable civic officials and mall representatives, who showed strong support for the initiative.

To engage citizens, the campaign features performances by young artists from the GND Group, who present vibrant dances and acrobatics that captivate the audience. Senior artists are also staging skits that emphasize the importance of voting. The Municipal Corporation continues to urge all eligible voters to cast their ballots, using various forms of outreach to inspire civic participation in the democratic process.
