Legal Woes Mount for Badshah as Media Company Files Lawsuit Over Unpaid Dues
Rapper-singer Badshah, known for hits like ‘Jugnu’ and ‘Saturday Saturday,’ is facing a lawsuit from a media company due to his failure to meet the payment terms outlined in a legal agreement. The company asserts that all services related to the production and promotion of the track ‘Baawla’ have been completed. However, they allege that Badshah has not paid those involved in the project.
The case is currently in the Karnal District Court, with the CNR Number HRKR010130502024 and the case file number ARB 47/2024. The complainants also claim that they pursued legal action only after sending multiple reminders.
Even with all the positive efforts, Badshah has only made empty promises and postponed the payment date without actually releasing any money.
“Baawla” is an independent song featuring Badshah and Amit Uchana, which has received over 151 million views on YouTube. It was released on Badshah’s YouTube channel.
The marketing strategies used to promote the track have been quite expensive for the producers and marketers, ultimately benefiting Badshah in terms of his reputation and brand development. This is yet another legal issue for Badshah, emphasizing his failure to fulfill payment commitments. Last year, he appeared before the Maharashtra Police Cyber Cell regarding his promotion of the online betting app ‘FairPlay.’ At least 40 other celebrities, including him, were also scrutinized by authorities for allegedly endorsing the FairPlay app.
