Pune: Sambhaji Zende, NCP Candidate From Purandar-Haveli Constituency Holds Padayatra In Phursungi and Jejuri
Sambhaji Zende, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate from Ajit Pawar’s faction contesting the Purandar-Haveli constituency in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections, initiated a padayatra (foot march) in Phursungi and Jejuri today. The event began with tributes to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, marking a spirited start to the campaign.
Prominent local leaders, including councilor Ganesh Dhore, Rahul Chorghade, Prachi Deshmukh, Sheetal Harpale, Amit Sureshappa Harpale, and others, joined the march alongside numerous women and youth participants, reflecting widespread community involvement.
A Call for Support on November 20
Addressing the gathering, Zende urged residents to vote for the “Clock” symbol on November 20, promising decisive progress and dedicated representation for the constituency.
“I have been actively working in the social and political sphere for many years for the welfare of the people of Purandar-Haveli. Today’s padayatra and bike rally in Jejuri reaffirm the immense love and trust people have in me,” said Zende.

The campaign also included meetings with Jejuri residents, alongside senior NCP leader and Pune District Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Digambar Durgade and NCP Women’s Wing President Vandana Jagtap.
Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support and confidence from the citizens, Zende emphasized, “The love and trust I receive from the people are my greatest sources of energy. This will motivate me to work tirelessly for the betterment of the region.”
