Pune/Pimpri (Nov 21): The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has registered a case against unauthorized construction in Gahunje, Maval. Despite prior notices instructing the halt of illegal construction, the offender failed to comply, prompting the PMRDA’s Unauthorized Construction Eradication Department to take action.

A case has been lodged at Talegaon Dabhade Police Station against Meena Vijay Aher of Gahunje under Section 54(2) of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966. PMRDA has urged property owners within its jurisdiction to seek necessary permits for construction and cease ongoing unauthorized activities, warning of strict action otherwise.

This action was carried out under the guidance of PMRDA Commissioner Dr. Yogesh Mhase and other officials, including Superintendent of Police Amol Tambe and Joint Commissioner Dr. Deepti Suryavanshi-Patil.
