Aadit Palicha, born in 2001 in Mumbai and raised in Dubai, displayed entrepreneurial spirit from an early age, co-founding GoPool while still a student. After completing a perfect 45 in the International Baccalaureate at GEMS Modern Academy, he enrolled at Stanford University to study computer science but soon dropped out to explore business opportunities in India.
In 2020, Palicha and his friend Kaivalya Vohra launched Kiranakart, an online grocery delivery service in Mumbai. Although the venture didn’t meet expectations, they pivoted in 2021 to create Zepto, a quick-commerce platform offering 10-minute grocery delivery. The idea, inspired by fast online food deliveries, gained rapid traction during the pandemic.
By August 2024, Zepto raised $340 million in Series G funding, catapulting its valuation to $5 billion. Palicha’s net worth soared to ₹4,300 crore, making him one of India’s youngest and wealthiest entrepreneurs. Under his leadership, Zepto expanded across cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Noida, and Gurugram, competing with giants like BigBasket and Amazon.
